Dear All

The first thing that you are accurately aware when you own a castle is that you …. don’t own it.
You will never own it, no one will ever.
The castle has its own existence and most probably will take over your own life. You are just the temporary caretaker, that’s it, nothing more.

Your mission is to maintain it the best you can so its turrets continue to dominate the glorious landscape. There is an existential need to transmit it to the next generation, whether it’s your own descendants or not. The importance is to make it continue .

We have been extraordinarily fortunate and grateful to have 20 years of blissful summers and spring holidays. Unfortunately we live in London and as soon as our youngest children entered the competitive English schools we had to cut short our stays.

A house however big or small needs to be lived in. It needs the heat of the hob but also the laughters of the children, the chaos of parties, the tender care of the housekeepers and the handymen. There’s always something to do in a small house, just imagine the constant pressure of a castle with more than forty rooms.

We are extremely happy to welcome you into our enchanted home. : here you have entered an exclusive property with 20 hectares of woodland, meadows and gardens, where the trees stand guard and you can finally enjoy a complete privacy.

The only sounds you will hear are from the birds and from the wind blowing through the leaves of the trees.
Welcome…. Bienvenue….
